By implementing this project, we aim first of all to revive and strengthen the historical ties of youth cooperation between Huarte and Latvia, which have existed since 2008, but now require a generational renewal to ensure their continuity over time. The main objective is to offer a new group of young people the opportunity to experience intercultural learning that allows them to grow personally and socially, while becoming active protagonists of their own educational process. From the perspective of youth work practice, our objectives are: To foster active participation and youth empowerment, encouraging young people to take responsibility in the preparation, implementation and dissemination of the exchange. To promote non-formal education as a learning tool, developing key competences such as communication in foreign languages, teamwork, creativity, conflict resolution and the ability to adapt to unforeseen situations. To promote social inclusion and equal opportunities, by involving young people with fewer opportunities and creating a safe and respectful environment where everyone can express themselves and be heard. To strengthen European awareness and active citizenship, bringing participants closer to the spirit of the Erasmus+ programme and to a sense of belonging to a European community based on solidarity, respect and cooperation. To value and share cultural diversity, using the exchange as a means to overcome stereotypes, prejudices and language barriers, while fostering empathy, tolerance and mutual understanding. To develop sustainable links between organisations and local communities, strengthening international cooperation in the field of youth work and building the foundations for new joint projects in the future. In short, we want this project to be a transformative experience that enhances the individual and collective capacities of the young participants, reinforces the local youth organisations, and consolidates an international cooperation network that will last beyond the exchange itself.
