"Out of Our Minds" is a youth exchange program that combines creativity, circus arts, and outdoor learning to strengthen the physical and mental well-being of young Europeans. Designed collaboratively by organizations from Spain, Lithuania, Poland, Serbia, and Georgia, the project addresses the needs identified by young people themselves, who seek to reconnect with their imagination, enhance self-expression, and develop healthy habits in a safe and shared learning environment. In a world saturated with digital stimuli, many young people have realized that their creativity and emotional well-being are being affected. Overexposure to social media and a fast-paced lifestyle lead to stress, disconnection from oneself, and a lack of spaces for authentic expression. "Out of Our Minds" emerges as a response to this reality, offering an experience that fosters creativity, personal exploration, and contact with nature as tools for personal growth. The program and its content are designed around two main pillars: creativity and circus arts. Through workshops in art, theater, writing, and body expression, participants will explore new forms of communication and personal development. At the same time, activities based on juggling, movement, and object manipulation will help develop skills such as concentration, coordination, and teamwork. The exchange will take place at Campamento de La Esperanza, in the Corona Forestal Natural Park in Tenerife, and will be complemented by excursions to various protected natural areas, such as Teide National Park and Anaga Biosphere Reserve. These experiences will allow participants to connect with their surroundings, understand the importance of conservation, and adopt sustainable habits. The main objectives of the project are: - To foster creativity and self-expression through artistic activities and circus dynamics that help young people rediscover their imagination and build self-confidence. - To enhance emotional and physical well-being by providing new tools, such as juggling and connection with nature, that reduce stress and strengthen self-esteem. - To promote teamwork and cooperation, encouraging values of inclusion, diversity, and mutual support in a multicultural context. - To strengthen the connection with nature, raising awareness of sustainability and offering outdoor learning experiences in Tenerife's protected natural areas. - To develop healthy habits and a more conscious relationship with technology. In the long term, "Out of Our Minds" aims to create a lasting impact on participants' lives by providing them with tools they can apply in their daily routines. By the end of the exchange, young people are expected to: - Have strengthened their confidence and developed new forms of self-expression. - Have integrated healthy habits that contribute to their emotional well-being. - Feel more connected to nature and committed to its conservation. - Have built an intercultural support network and a renewed sense of community. This project, rooted in the principles of non-formal education, promotes experiential learning and youth autonomy, empowering them to become agents of change in their own communities. With an innovative methodology and a collaborative approach, "Out of Our Minds" is an opportunity to transform how young people perceive themselves and the world around them.
