Objectives

In an increasingly digital and interconnected world, young people risk losing one of the most essential bonds of humanity: the connection with nature and the territory that surrounds us. Rediscovering this link fosters physical and mental health, strengthens cultural identity, and allows young people from different countries to empathize with each other and build bridges of understanding. From this idea, Hiking 4 All was born, with the main objective of bringing young people closer to nature through hiking and outdoor education, while strengthening intercultural ties between participants from different countries. The project promotes hiking and sustainable tourism practices as tools of non-formal education that foster personal development, employability, and youth entrepreneurship. An innovative aspect of the project is the incorporation of live streaming and digital content created by the participants themselves. This will allow young people who cannot participate physically —for economic, geographical, or health reasons— to follow the activities in real time, interact with the group, and benefit from the learning process. In this way, accessibility is broadened, directly contributing to inclusion and diversity, one of the key priorities of Erasmus+. Through these experiences, participants will: - Strengthen their environmental awareness, connecting local sustainability with European goals in the fight against climate change. - Acquire new digital competences, in line with the priority of digital transformation of the Erasmus+ programme. - Develop inclusive attitudes and intercultural dialogue skills, promoting respect, tolerance, and reducing xenophobia and radicalisation. - Reinforce their sense of active European citizenship, by engaging in a project that fosters cooperation, cultural diversity, and the common values of Europe. Ultimately, Hiking 4 All aims to empower young people to become agents of change and active citizens, contributing to a Europe that is more sustainable, inclusive, digital, collaborative, and cohesive, fully aligned with the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme and the European Youth Strategy.
