Objectives

The Move IN project aims to empower young people aged 14 to 17 from Italy, Croatia, Greece, North Macedonia and Spain, fostering their personal, social and civic development so that they become more active, inclusive and healthy citizens. Bringing together 60 adolescents (at least 50% with fewer opportunities), we want to provide a safe and intercultural space where they can experience the values of diversity, cooperation and European solidarity through non-formal education methodologies. From the perspective of youth work, our goals are: Promote inclusion and diversity: creative workshops (theatre, music, sports) and intercultural evenings will allow participants to question stereotypes, reduce prejudices and strengthen empathy. Encourage active and healthy lifestyles: through sports, outdoor and nature-based activities, young people will discover routines that improve their physical and emotional well-being. Develop transversal competences: communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, creativity and digital competences, all linked to the European Key Competences framework. Foster active citizenship and European values: adolescents will participate in decision-making in all project phases (preparation, implementation, follow-up), reinforcing their sense of responsibility and respect for democracy, human rights and equality. Strengthen cooperation between organisations: the partner organisations will combine their expertise in inclusion, creative methodologies, work with vulnerable youth and international networks, thus improving the quality and sustainability of future Erasmus+ initiatives. The relevance of the project is guaranteed as it responds to real needs identified among adolescents: sedentary lifestyles, excessive screen time, lack of international opportunities and limited exposure to cultural diversity. Through participatory and experiential methods, Move IN will not only have a positive impact on the 60 young participants, but will also strengthen the capacities of youth organisations and multiply the learning outcomes in their local communities and within the wider European network. The project objectives can be summarised as follows: Create an inclusive and intercultural environment where young people feel safe to express themselves and learn from each other. Promote active and healthy lifestyles among adolescents, offering practical alternatives to sedentary habits. Improve key competences (social, civic, intercultural, digital, creativity, problem-solving). Foster European citizenship, solidarity and respect for the fundamental values of the EU. Strengthen youth work practice through innovative non-formal education methods and international cooperation. In short, the project will be a transformative experience for the adolescents and a process of capacity building for the partner organisations, leaving sustainable results: empowered young people who act as multipliers of inclusion, diversity and healthy lifestyles, and stronger, better connected organisations in the European context.
