Objectives

The INCREDS project, implemented in Gijón (Spain) and Oberhausen (Germany), aims to empower young people by strengthening their creativity, entrepreneurial mindset and digital competences, enhancing their employability and fostering their active participation in society. From the perspective of youth work practice, INCREDS provides a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment where participants can learn by doing, exchange across cultures and engage in meaningful dialogue with peers and mentors. This approach helps young people recognise their potential, build confidence and take ownership of their personal and professional development. A distinctive feature of INCREDS is the direct connection between participants and young entrepreneurs from different European contexts. By engaging with peers who have successfully transformed creative and innovative ideas into real initiatives, participants will gain first-hand insights into entrepreneurship, self-employment and the value of creativity in today’s job market. These encounters will make entrepreneurship more relatable and attainable, showing young people that they too can become drivers of innovation and change. Through experiential learning, intercultural exchange and hands-on workshops, INCREDS will help participants acquire transversal skills such as problem-solving, communication, teamwork and adaptability - competences that are crucial for their transition into education, training, or employment. By visiting innovative spaces, engaging with entrepreneurs and experiencing real-world contexts, participants will not only broaden their horizons but also develop practical knowledge and inspiration for future projects. Nature-based activities will further raise awareness of sustainability and biodiversity, linking green practices with entrepreneurship and youth employability. Inclusion is also a central objective. The project will actively involve unemployed youth and NEETs, offering them supportive youth work practices that motivate and guide them towards new opportunities. By meeting young entrepreneurs who serve as role models, these participants will see tangible examples of resilience and creativity, helping them overcome barriers and reimagine their own pathways. INCREDS aims to empower young people by combining creativity, digital skills, entrepreneurship and sustainability in an intercultural context. It will foster employability, resilience and civic engagement while inspiring participants to become proactive, innovative and socially responsible citizens.
