In the current context, many young people perceive politics as distant or inaccessible, which generates distrust and apathy toward civic participation. Empower Democracy aims to counter this trend by providing a safe and dynamic space where young people can explore, experiment, and reflect on democracy, social participation, and collective action. The main objectives of the project are: - Foster active and reflective youth participation: Through collaborative activities, debates, simulation exercises, and intercultural workshops, participants will be able to share experiences, viewpoints, and diverse perspectives on democracy and social challenges in Europe. - Develop social and civic competences: Young people will strengthen skills such as intercultural communication, empathy, critical thinking, cooperation, and conflict resolution, all of which are essential for responsible participation in society. - Promote cultural exchange and international collaboration: By working in mixed teams from different countries, participants will learn to value diversity and build connections with their European peers, creating networks of young people committed to democratic values. - Encourage reflection and awareness of personal participation: Through daily reflection exercises and discussion groups, participants will identify personal and collective learning, gaining a better understanding of their role in society and how they can actively contribute to democratic dialogue. - Share experiences and learning in their local communities: After the exchange, young people will be able to convey what they have learned to their local environments through dissemination activities, generating a multiplier effect that strengthens civic awareness and participation in their communities.
