With this project, we want young people to look at the information they consume every day with more critical thinking, especially on social media. We see that many of them share content without knowing if it’s true, and that can have real consequences. From a youth work perspective, our goal is to give them tools to detect fake news, check sources, and think before sharing. We also want them to learn how to express themselves with confidence, live alongside people from other cultures, and collaborate in a team — because all of that is also part of critical thinking. We want them to leave the project feeling that their opinion matters, that they can question what they see, and that they have the right to be well-informed. For us, the most important thing is not only what they learn about fake news, but how they grow as people through living together, dialogue, and shared experience.
