This project seeks to train and involve young people through an educational experience that promotes respect for the environment, sustainability, and the protection of biodiversity in the Canary Islands. The initiative focuses on combining intercultural learning with mindful and ecological tourism practices, offering participants the tools to become agents of change in their communities. The main goal of this project is to strengthen youth participation through an exchange in the Canary Islands centered on sustainability, biodiversity protection, and conscious tourism practices. From a youth work perspective, we aim to: 1. Raise awareness of climate change impacts: Through practical activities, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the environmental challenges facing the Canary Islands and the EU, as well as how they can actively contribute to preservation. 2. Promote sustainable tourism: We encourage a responsible approach to tourism by highlighting best practices that balance economic development with environmental protection, while also fostering learning and personal growth through the experience of travel. 3. Develop key competences: such as intercultural communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. 4. Create both local and European impact: Participants will not only benefit on a personal level, but will also act as change-makers in their communities by sharing what they have learned and promoting concrete actions. 5. Strengthen youth networks and international cooperation: The exchange will serve as a meeting point for young people from different countries, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and a stronger sense of European citizenship. This project is not only about training participants in sustainability and biodiversity—it also seeks to inspire them to take an active role in protecting the environment and building a more responsible and conscious future. The exchange fosters leadership, teamwork, and active European citizenship.
