MOTIVATIONS Our greatest motivation comes from contributing our small grain of sand to something as significant as promoting emotional well-being and implementing mental health practices, while also working to break down the stigmas and taboos that have long been established around these topics. We aim to gain knowledge and understand different perspectives on these issues, shaped by cultural backgrounds and the countries in which people live. It is striking that, despite growing visibility, there are still doubts about the importance of these topics. As stated in the European Pact for Mental Health and Well-being: "Mental health is a human right. A good state of mental health allows citizens to enjoy well-being, good health, and a good quality of life. Moreover, mental health fosters learning, work, and participation in society." These words highlight the urgent need to maintain strong emotional well-being. Without it, we lose many of our abilities, which in turn affects crucial aspects such as physical health, our social environment, and our capacity to learn. We are not an organization with the power to create a massive societal impact or change the paradigm overnight. However, by contributing our efforts and making the issue more visible, we can pave the way for young people to develop their own tools to achieve stability and balance. Cooperation among the participants of this project can encourage integration and the normalization of stigmas that remain deeply rooted in society, such as the belief that crying is a sign of weakness. These young individuals are the future, and they have the power to decide whether to continue believing in these misconceptions or, instead, to take action and bring about a paradigm shift. Raising awareness and sharing knowledge about the truths behind emotional well-being is therefore essential. OBJECTIVE The main goal of this project is for participants to recognize the different stages of life through the metaphor of the Hero’s Journey, developing tools to solve problems and make decisions effectively. In doing so, they will achieve greater emotional well-being, foster good practices that support mental health, and create an environment that encourages social inclusion while strengthening the values and rights of the EU. Specific objectives of the project include: -Encouraging collaboration and teamwork among participants. -Sharing tools that help analyze and better understand personal situations and contexts. -Promoting the search for creative and innovative solutions to challenges. -Facilitating cultural exchange and mutual learning. -Developing emotional resilience techniques. -Sharing methods for managing stress and anxiety. -Creating a safe space where young people feel free to express and share ideas, opinions, fears, and insecurities. In addition to gaining valuable tools and knowledge, participants will learn from one another in an inclusive environment. They will come to understand that multiple perspectives can exist for the same problem, including those of people with disabilities or fewer opportunities. They will realize that within a single context, there can be many valid approaches and solutions. Each person has their own abilities, ways of thinking, and approaches to challenges, and all viewpoints can be equally valid. Furthermore, participants will not only strengthen their linguistic skills through the use of English as a common language, but they will also develop soft skills such as discussion and debate, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, resilience, and intercultural competences.
