Objectives

This project aims to give young people practical tools to understand and deal with stress and burnout in their daily lives. Many of them face pressure from school, studies, work, unemployment, or social expectations, and often lack spaces to talk about these challenges. The project creates such a space, where participants reflect on their own experiences, learn from peers across countries, and test creative ways of coping. From a youth work perspective, the objectives are very concrete: Help young people recognise what stress and burnout mean in their reality and reflect on how it affects their life. Compare these experiences across cultures to see that stress is not only personal but also social, and that solutions can be shared. Use non-formal tools like art, sport, music, food, storytelling, and nature-based activities to experiment with stress release. Strengthen personal and social competences such as resilience, empathy, teamwork, intercultural communication, and creative problem solving. Build practical skills in media creation, facilitation, and project work that participants can use later in life. Produce tangible results – the Emotional First Aid Kit booklet and the Youth Balance Map of Europe – that combine all learning into tools that are useful to others. Inspire participants to act as multipliers when they return, bringing practices back to their schools, youth clubs, or communities
