Objectives

Through this exchange, we want to raise awareness among young participants about the importance of volunteering. The participants in this project are between 13 and 17 years old, an age that allows them to assimilate learning, reflect, and be aware of things from a healthier or, we could say, less influenced perspective. Volunteering is not a goal at this stage in their lives, not because some of them are not volunteers, but because they are generally unaware of the possibilities and significance of volunteering. Thanks to volunteering, it is possible to get involved in areas as diverse as the environment, solidarity with people in need, collaboration in social projects, sport, and more. Next year, 2026, the United Nations will celebrate the International Year of Volunteering for Sustainable Development. We believe this is a very good opportunity to raise awareness among young participants of the broad meaning of the concept of volunteering, as well as an opportunity to work on the values of the European Union, solidarity and equal opportunities, in addition to offering them examples in some of the programmed activities and allowing them to participate in them. The other objectives of this exchange are: - To promote cultural exchange, mutual understanding and a deeper understanding of the values that unite us, strengthening European identity. - To encourage peer learning, personal autonomy and personal and group initiative. - Encourage peer learning, personal autonomy, and individual and group initiative. - Develop activities that promote volunteering and cooperation. - Discover a natural environment such as the island of Menorca, learn about its needs, interact with young people from the island and get closer to their reality. - Cooperate in the day-to-day activities and development of the youth exchange.
