Objectives

With Resilient Mosquittoes we want to address challenges that youth workers across Europe face every day: rising levels of anxiety, substance use, family tensions, digital overload and feelings of isolation among young people. Too often, schools, families and community services work separately, and youth workers are left without the tools, networks or support to respond effectively. By implementing this project, we want to: • Create a trusted European network of organisations committed to youth mental health, addiction prevention, family work and community wellbeing. • Strengthen the competences of youth workers through practical, trauma-informed methods: community intervention labs, family support approaches, addiction prevention tools, and digital wellbeing practices. • Give visibility to innovative models (such as CySNE and Vincula from Asociación Albores) and exchange them with partners’ good practices, so that youth workers can adapt and replicate them in their own contexts. • Co-design concrete Erasmus+ projects (KA1 and KA2) that will carry the work forward, ensuring sustainability and new opportunities for young people. • Empower newcomer organisations like Albores to take a strong first step into Erasmus+, supported by experienced partners. • Promote inclusion and diversity by ensuring participation of youth workers from rural, socio-economically challenged and newcomer contexts. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project is about equipping professionals with tested tools, trusted allies and renewed confidence, so they can return home better prepared to support vulnerable young people and build stronger connections between families, schools and communities.
