Confederacion Don Bosco promotes social transformation through active citizenship and youth protagonism, fostering the critical participation of young people in response to the needs of their environment. Within this framework, the present project aims to strengthen the capacity of youth organisations to guarantee real and sustainable inclusion of children and young people in vulnerable situations within community spaces and programmes. From the perspective of youth work practice, the initiative seeks to generate change on three complementary levels. At the organisational level, it intends to transform structures and methodologies so that youth centres become truly inclusive, representative and participatory spaces. At the educational level, it aims to ensure that both youth workers and volunteers have updated competences in inclusion, accompaniment and diversity management, thus guaranteeing quality support. At the community level, it aspires for young people themselves to develop a critical, supportive and transformative outlook on their environment, understanding diversity as an asset and assuming an active role as agents of change in their communities. To achieve these goals, the project will reinforce the pedagogical and methodological competences of youth work teams through training processes, exchange experiences and professional support. It will also promote coexistence and mutual learning among young people with different levels of vulnerability, integrating social and educational dimensions within a common methodological framework. Another aim is to rethink the organisation and management of youth spaces, removing unintended barriers and ensuring that all young people feel represented and able to participate. Likewise, it will promote solid and sustainable networking between European youth organisations, consolidating alliances that enable the transfer of methodologies and foster educational innovation. The project also foresees the systematisation and transfer of good practices that can be applied in different local contexts, as well as the development of resources that strengthen collective learning. In doing so, it seeks to generate a positive and lasting impact in local communities, encouraging more inclusive and equitable participation processes that reinforce social cohesion. Ultimately, this project aims to transform youth work practice so that it becomes more inclusive, innovative and representative of the diversity of today’s youth, while at the same time strengthening the role of youth workers as key agents in building fairer, more participatory and more supportive communities.
