By implementing The Green Playground, we aim to strengthen youth work practice through the use of gamification as an innovative tool for environmental education. Our objectives are: To enhance the competences of youth workers in non-formal methodologies that combine play, creativity, and environmental education, making their practice more engaging and impactful. To provide practical and replicable tools – such as a pedagogical digital toolkit and game-based dynamics – that youth workers can adapt and implement in their daily work with young people. To broaden access to environmental education by using games as an inclusive and attractive learning medium, reaching young people who may not initially be interested in sustainability. To foster inclusion and participation of youth workers with fewer opportunities, ensuring diversity and accessibility in learning processes. To empower youth workers as agents of change, training them as game masters and facilitators capable of raising awareness, leading activities, and inspiring sustainable lifestyles in their communities. To connect local and international networks, encouraging cooperation among youth organisations engaged in non-formal education, sustainability, and youth participation. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project provides participants with innovative, transferable methodologies applicable in their daily work, strengthens their leadership and multiplier capacities, and creates engaging learning spaces that boost young people’s motivation, creativity, and commitment to sustainability and community action.
