The project has been designed with several interlinked objectives that address both the personal development of participants and the wider impact on their communities. First, the training will strengthen participants’ environmental knowledge and awareness, with a focus on the environmental consequences of waste and the importance of sustainability. By deepening their understanding of these challenges, youth workers will be better equipped to inspire young people to adopt responsible practices in their daily lives. Second, the project seeks to foster collaboration and networking among youth workers from different countries. By exchanging best practices, tools, and methods, participants will not only learn from each other’s experiences but also build lasting connections that can serve as the foundation for future international cooperation on environmental issues. A third aim is to develop practical tools and resources for environmental education. These materials will allow youth workers to bring concrete methods into their local contexts, making the learning more accessible and impactful for the young people they engage with. The project also places strong emphasis on outdoor education and the usage of green spaces. By incorporating outdoor activities, especially the planned cleanup activity, the project not only directly impacts the environment but will also demonstrate how to engage young people in meaningful, hands-on conservation actions. Such experiences are not only memorable but also highly effective in motivating both youth workers and young people to act. Finally, by combining these strands, the project will contribute to the creation of a network of environmentally conscious youth leaders. This network will serve as a platform for sharing ideas, continuing collaborations, and spreading the impact of the training far beyond its duration. From a youth work perspective, the ultimate goal is to provide participants with knowledge, skills, and tools that they can actively use to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among young people, ensuring that the outcomes of the project extend beyond the immediate participants to their local communities and networks.
