Objectives

With this project we want to strengthen youth workers so they can support young people with more creativity, resilience, and confidence. Youth workers across Europe face growing challenges such as youth unemployment, mental health struggles, social exclusion, and a lack of safe spaces for expression. Often they give a lot of energy to others, but rarely have opportunities to reflect on their own learning and well-being. Our project offers an international training course based on Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey, combined with Jungian psychology, shadow work, storytelling, art therapy, movement, and mindfulness. Through this framework, youth workers will go through a transformative process that helps them discover new tools for personal growth and professional practice. The main objectives are: To equip youth workers with creative and embodied methods (storytelling, art, movement, reflection, resilience tools) that they can use in their daily work with young people. To provide a safe space for self-discovery and renewal, strengthening the well-being and motivation of youth workers. To foster intercultural learning and cooperation, connecting youth workers from 10 European countries. To develop a practical toolkit of methods and ensure local follow-up workshops, multiplying the impact in communities across Europe. From the perspective of youth work practice, this project helps youth workers to design more engaging, inclusive, and holistic activities for young people, while also taking care of their own well-being and professional growth.
