Objectives

The STAGE project aims to use the Theatre of the Oppressed and dramatic arts techniques as youth work tools to: Strengthen the resilience and self-esteem of young violence survivors by providing a safe space to express their experiences and transform their lived experiences through artistic expression. Develop key psychosocial skills (non-violent communication, empathy, mediation) through practical workshops and concrete role-plays. Promote intercultural dialogue and active European citizenship by bringing together young people from four countries to reflect together on the values of human dignity and non-discrimination. Raise awareness among local communities about the mechanisms of violence and reconciliation through public interactive theatre-forum performances, enabling the audience to become actors in the solutions. From a practical youth-work perspective, it involves: Equipping young people with creative methods to identify, analyze, and deconstruct the violences they have experienced. Creating lasting impact by training participants in transferable techniques that they can apply in their local context (schools, neighborhoods, associations). Valuing informal learning through co-creative artistic processes and teamwork, by documenting the methodology to inspire other youth professionals.
