Objectives

Through this youth exchange, we hope to achieve several concrete objectives related to youth work. First, the aim is to enable young Georgians to come to France and directly discover the methods and practices of youth work developed in a European context. This will also enable young French people to discover Georgian methods through the workshops they lead. This will give us the opportunity to observe, experiment, and engage in non-formal educational activities, such as cooperative games, theater, artistic workshops, and outdoor education, in order to acquire skills that we can then apply in our community and professional activities with young people. The objective is therefore to foster the exchange of best practices among young participants. Georgians will be able to present their local experiences and methods of youth work, while discovering those used in France, which will allow for mutual learning and the adaptation of the most relevant techniques for their future projects. We also aim to strengthen the capacity of young participants to independently design, prepare, and facilitate educational workshops by highlighting existing tools and resources in non-formal education, such as Compass, Gender Matter, and the Toolboxes available on Salto.com. This approach aims to make them more confident and competent in organizing youth work projects in their local communities. Finally, this project aims to develop a sense of international cooperation between Georgian and French youth, to understand the needs and expectations of young people in a different context, and to jointly prepare European mobility projects. In the long term, these skills and experience will strengthen our ability to initiate educational projects and create inclusive and enriching spaces for young people in our respective countries.
