This youth exchange brings together young people from Portugal and Reunion Island around the theme "Culture, well-being and environment", combining physical activity, environmental awareness and intercultural learning. The general objective is to promote sustainable lifestyles and resilience among young people, using sport as a tool to foster ecological responsibility, teamwork and social inclusion. The specific objectives are: - Encourage young people to reflect on the relationship between culture, sport, health and the environment. - To develop practical skills through workshops, outdoor activities and eco-actions related to sustainability. - Promote intercultural dialogue and cooperation between the young people of Portugal and Réunion, by valuing diversity. - Promote the active participation and initiative of young people in the design of local eco-sports projects. The programme combines non-formal education methods such as workshops, debates, simulations, think tanks and creative activities, with outdoor experiences like hiking, beach cleaning, surfing, tree planting and sports with local communities. Cultural visits to Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais and Cabo da Roca enrich learning by connecting participants with local heritage. Throughout the 8 days of activity, participants will explore key topics such as climate change, coastal protection, mental health, resilience, community engagement and sustainable practices in sport. Focus groups and intercultural evenings ensure that learning outcomes are consolidated and shared in a spirit of dialogue and celebration. The exchange will end with a Youthpass recognition session, where participants will assess their learning journey, receive certificates and commit to developing small-scale eco-sport initiatives in their home communities. This project aims to strengthen the commitment, skills and openness of young people through an intercultural exchange experience between Réunion and Portugal, based on youth work methods and values. Our main objectives are as follows: 1. Develop the personal, social and intercultural skills of young people Through mobility, workshops and collective life, young people will learn to: Working in a group in an international context; Manage new situations (travel, intercultural communication, autonomy); Gain self-confidence and self-expression. This corresponds to one of the fundamental roles of youth work: supporting the overall development of young people outside of school. 2. Promote the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities We will ensure the inclusion of young people from backgrounds far removed from mobility or facing social, economic or geographical barriers. The project will offer them a safe and rewarding environment, where everyone can find their place. It is a concrete lever to make non-formal education accessible to all, a central pillar of youth work. 3. Promote youth engagement and active citizenship The project will encourage young people to: Get actively involved in all phases (preparation, implementation, dissemination); Become actors of change in their community upon their return; Discover the European values of solidarity, diversity and democracy. The objective is to train young people who are aware, responsible, capable of acting locally and thinking globally. 4. Strengthen professional practices between youth structures This project will also be a learning space for youth workers from both countries: Exchange of teaching methods (games, animation, digital tools); Implementation of intercultural, participatory and inclusive activities; Building a sustainable partnership between our structures. This allows to professionalize youth work and enrich local pedagogical practices. 5. Stimulate the creativity and expression of young people Young people will be encouraged to express themselves through: Creative materials (videos, posters, artistic workshops) Activities that they will co-create and animate with the supervisors Youth work is also a space of freedom and expression, where each young person can reveal their potential. In summary: This project is a powerful tool for personal development, social cohesion and European cooperation. It allows the fundamental values of youth work to be implemented in a concrete framework: inclusion, participation, non-formal learning, solidarity and empowerment.
