This introduction to the marine environment covers several aspects. First, there is a theoretical part, focusing on knowledge of marine fauna and flora, different coastal ecosystems, and some basic concepts related to the various scientific practices that can be carried out at sea. Then there is a practical part, such as the use of tools or the management and safety of equipment, the mobilization of physical resources during aquatic activities, and the use of observation skills. The creation of this project therefore has a dual focus: sports and culture. In addition, this project is part of an approach to training eco-responsible citizens. Indeed, protecting our planet's ecosystems requires awareness and knowledge of these environments, because we protect better what we know. This is why our project is based on non-formal education. With an emphasis on deepening and introducing knowledge of natural marine environments. Finally, this involves the creation of an intercultural collective, where everyone works in a spirit of kindness and respect for the group. In this way, young people will be encouraged to work on the different components of community life and citizenship, such as autonomy, critical thinking, debate, and respect for others.
