The project “The Power of Play” aims to enable 13 young people from Bras Panon (La Réunion) and 13 young people from Brussels (Belgium), aged 14 to 17, to develop their self-confidence, autonomy, as well as their social and intercultural skills through activities based on play, creativity, and cooperation. The main objectives are to promote inclusion, active participation, intercultural collaboration, and the development of practical and social skills, while providing young people with tools to improve their communication, teamwork, and ability to take on responsibilities. Activities will use non-formal and participatory methods, allowing participants to be fully involved in their own learning by designing and leading games, creating productions (videos, photos, creative materials), and sharing their outcomes. The project also includes intercultural and linguistic preparation, a safe framework of supervision, and a learning follow-up through the Youthpass, ensuring that the skills acquired are recognized and valued in their educational and personal paths. The productions and experiences of the young people will be shared with the local community, schools, associations, and the Erasmus+ network, guaranteeing a lasting and multiplied impact beyond the duration of the exchange. In practice, this project strengthens youth work by offering concrete activities in which young people are actively engaged, fostering their autonomy, initiative, and creativity, while consolidating the links between partner associations and promoting European values of cooperation and intercultural openness.
