City Zen Ship Epta is an artistic and intercultural project focused on family myths, legends, and fairy tales. Our ambition is to create a safe and inclusive space where young people aged 13 to 23, in France and Greece, can explore their cultural heritage, share their family stories, and transform them into collective creative works. We aim to provide young people, often facing social or economic challenges, with a supportive environment where their voices are respected and their experiences are valued. From a youth work perspective, the objectives of our project are multiple: - Enable young people to discover and give voice to their family and cultural stories. - Create opportunities for artistic expression through theatre and visual arts in a collaborative, non-competitive environment. - Foster self-confidence, autonomy, and collective decision-making, using popular education tools such as the “Coucou, comment ça va?” discussion moments. - Encourage intercultural and intergenerational dialogue by promoting exchanges with young people from different countries, as well as with their families and communities. - Strengthen social inclusion and civic participation by integrating youth with fewer opportunities (JAMO) and providing tailored support to their needs. - Develop transferable skills: teamwork, creative expression, project organization, communication, and collaborative leadership. - Ensure lasting impact through documentation, dissemination, and reuse of creations, inspiring other young people and organizations to continue similar initiatives. Through this project, we also aim to demonstrate that theatre and artistic co-creation can be powerful tools for youth empowerment, collective resilience, and the strengthening of social bonds. We place particular emphasis on professional support, physical and emotional safety, and active involvement of young participants at every stage of the project.
