The "Building our Green Future" project, led by Compagnons Bâtisseurs Occitanie, aims to strengthen youth engagement in local and solidarity-based actions. It is part of a popular education and youth work approach, seeking to encourage young people to participate in transformative actions. This project aspires to mobilize youth around concrete causes, particularly in the Razimbaud district of Narbonne, while promoting values of social inclusion, ecological transition, and interculturality. One of the main objectives is to create a network of young people committed to environmental and local development issues. To achieve this, the project offers solidarity workshops, technical workshops, awareness-raising workshops, and collective projects co-constructed with local residents. These activities will enable young people to develop transversal skills, such as teamwork, conflict resolution, and intercultural communication. At the same time, the project aims to combat social isolation, identified as a factor that worsens mental health issues among youth, by organizing intercultural meeting spaces and themed evenings. The project specifically targets young people with fewer opportunities (JAMO), such as those from priority neighborhoods, refugees, or individuals facing social exclusion. The goal is to ensure equitable participation by selecting young people with diverse profiles, maintaining a gender balance, and paying special attention to JAMO. Activities will be adapted to the specific needs of participants. Popular education workshops will also be organized to raise awareness about discrimination and foster inclusion. Another key aspect of the project is the development of skills for both young people and organizations. Young participants will have the opportunity to acquire technical skills, such as ecological renovation methods and project management, as well as social skills, including conflict resolution and intercultural communication. They will also be able to validate their learning through the Youthpass, which certifies the skills they have acquired. For organizations, the project aims to strengthen their capacities in managing Erasmus+ projects, planning, and impact evaluation, while promoting the exchange of best practices between CBO and Alliance partners. The project also incorporates a strong environmental dimension, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Planned activities include ecological rehabilitation workshops, workshops on ecological transition, and concrete actions to reduce the project's ecological footprint. The objective is to educate young people about climate issues and provide them with the tools to act locally, while encouraging sustainable practices among participants and organizations. Finally, to ensure the long-term impact of the project, a follow-up and dissemination strategy is planned. This includes continuous evaluation through questionnaires and reflection sessions, as well as the dissemination of results through local exhibitions, social media publications, and press articles. Young people will be encouraged to continue their engagement after the project, and partners will maintain their collaboration through annual meetings and joint projects
