Objectives

We aim to foster intercultural connections by bringing together young people from France and Spain through a reciprocal youth exchange on the theme of expression. The goal is to spark curiosity and encourage openness to difference, through living together, among young people from two European cultures. The LIAC project offers young participants spaces for sharing and conviviality through common activities, designed to facilitate interpersonal skills and encourage cooperation. We seek to raise young people’s awareness of graphic art and introduce them to artistic creation, by co-designing an exhibition with them to be presented in a museum, developing their imagination and nurturing their creativity through the transmission of aesthetic techniques. The LIAC project aims to engage young people with their direct environment and its resources (cultural spaces, heritage, nature, etc.), in order to enhance their understanding of their everyday reality, while strengthening cultural identity as a foundation for European exchange. We will use experiential learning to inspire young people to take initiative and become actively involved in carrying out their own actions and projects. A variety of inspiring resources will be offered to encourage and support them in exploring different models of expression, which may take various forms (spoken word, singing, dancing, mime, writing, etc.). This will allow them to explore different paths, identify their preferences, and position themselves as individuals within a collective action. The young participants will also take part in promoting the LIAC project by using digital tools. Our aim is to raise awareness about the responsible use of digital technologies, as a way of planting and spreading positive, meaningful messages and inspiring other initiatives of a similar nature. The LIAC project will be implemented ethically, with daily attention to environmental responsibility (choice of food – local and sustainable, waste sorting, optimization of travel distances, etc.). This is a practice embedded in the two partner structures and will serve to raise awareness among young people of environmentally responsible habits. We want young people to experience the joy of being together, while ensuring that this intercultural immersion has a positive impact on their empowerment, motivating them to take initiatives and increasing their level of autonomy. The main objective of LIAC is to improve access to culture and European mobility, highlighting the uniqueness of young people through an intercultural and collective experience. Finally, we will organize a public, festive, and open event at the conclusion of the exchange to integrate and showcase their joint creations, support their potential, and highlight their journey towards the chosen mode of expression, enriched by their sharing and encounters.
