Re-Frame aspires to offer to young Europeans the opportunity to explore the highly relevant themes of environment and sustainable mobility to better understand their present and future challenges, the difficulties and opportunities through participatory photography and video. In this sense, we aim to support young people in acquiring skills in participatory photo and video. The use of participatory methods will enable participants to tell their own vision of the world and build visual narratives that reflect their perspective on social, cultural and environmental issues. Through these hands-on workshops, participants will not only learn how to handle equipment, film and edit their content, but also explore technical aspects of photography and video (such as sound, light, color, storytelling creation…). The discovery of these techniques will empower them to take action allowing them to later become relays and disseminators of informed and engaged knowledge themselves. Furthermore, the exploration of these themes will be possible thanks to the intercultural context of the project: bringing together young people from diverse social, cultural and geographical backgrounds will generate a rich and complementary exchange of experience and perspectives. Participants will also engage in both individual and collective research and prospecting into local and international realities, encouraging them to look at their own living environment with fresh eyes. The project will therefore act as a collaborative and inclusive space where young people can challenge different points of view, learn from one another, and develop collective responses to the issues of their daily life. Through the creations they produce, participants will have the opportunity to become ambassadors of European values within their communities. Re-frame ultimately seeks to empower young people, foster their active participation and equip them with valuable skills for their educational, social and professional pathways. This empowerment will be supported by the development of critical thinking and creativity, teamwork, recognition of their ideas and strengthening of their collaborative and social skills. Finally, all project activities will be guided by reflection on today’s pressing challenges in environment and mobility, raising awareness of sustainable practices that enhance quality of life, of health and the respect of natural resources. Re-Frame objectives are as follows: - Encourage autonomy and self-expression and strengthen youth power to act by providing them technical and educational skills in participatory photo and video. - Introduce young people to creative and responsible use of digital technologies. - Reinforce ecological and civic awareness and deepen their understanding of related challenges. - Promote cultural openness, mutual understanding, social diversity and the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities. - Support a collaborative approach to learning.
