Objectives

The BRIDGES project aims to concretely strengthen the practice of youth workers facing the resurgence of identity-based hate speech. Our main objectives are: 1. To strengthen the practical skills of 36 youth workers by providing them with proven methods to identify, de-escalate, and counter racist and antisemitic narratives in their daily professional practice, particularly those exacerbated by international conflicts and social media. 2. To provide an immediately applicable operational toolkit, composed of non-formal education techniques and digital tools, enabling them to react constructively and effectively to incidents and to conduct educational prevention activities. 3. To create a safe space for dialogue where these professionals can discuss their common challenges, share their practices, and build a mutual understanding essential for addressing these sensitive topics with young people without creating polarization. 4. To co-create and disseminate a sustainable educational resource, the "BRIDGES Guide," as open-source, so that these methodologies benefit a wide network of youth workers and organizations beyond the direct participants. 5. To establish a strong and sustainable network of practitioners across Europe and the Mediterranean, facilitating continuous mutual support, the sharing of experiences, and the development of future joint actions after the project ends.
