With U in Verse, our goal is to transform youth work by introducing accessible, effective and integrative approaches rooted in mindfulness and body-based methods. This project focuses on supporting young people’s mental health, strengthening their ability to cope with life’s challenges, and nurturing emotional well-being. To achieve this, we aim to empower youth workers with a variety of hands-on strategies ranging from mindfulness techniques, body based practices, nature based methods to expressive arts. These methods will help youth workers engage more deeply with the young people they support, encouraging growth across emotional, physical, and mental dimensions. This project responds to a growing need among both young people and youth workers: the need for effective tools to cope with stress, strengthen resilience, and maintain both mental and physical health in today’s fast-paced, often overwhelming world. In an environment full of constant distractions and pressures, the ability to stay grounded, focused, and well is increasingly essential. The U in Verse training course has the following objectives: - to create an inspiring, welcoming, and safe space where participants can explore the role of mindful movement and mindfulness in youth work. - to introduce innovative, engaging, and interactive methods in youth work, fostering the exchange of best practices, and training participants on how to design, facilitate, and evaluate both existing and new non-formal learning sessions. -to enhance the capacity of participating NGOs by supporting the development of their members, networks, and future collaborative efforts.
