Objectives

Expand Youth Workers’ Pedagogical Tools - Objective: Equip youth workers with new non-formal methods based on physical theatre, Lecoq pedagogy, improvisation, swing dance, Kurdish theatre practices, and visual arts. - Youth Work Link: These methods give youth workers alternative ways to reach young people who may face language, social, or cultural barriers. By learning tools such as “dance for theatre players” or “visual arts & movement labs,” youth workers can diversify their daily workshops and make them more inclusive. ___ Strengthen Interdisciplinary Competences - Objective: Create opportunities for youth workers from theatre, dance, music, stand-up, and visual arts to collaborate. - Youth Work Link: Interdisciplinary practice fosters creativity, encourages flexibility, and helps youth workers design innovative activities that attract different groups of young people. For example, Spanish youth workers will bring mural techniques into theatre practice, while Swedish participants combine swing dance with local folk dance. ___ Promote Cultural Diversity and Inclusion - Objective: Recognise and validate minority cultures (e.g. Kurdish theatre, local rituals) as valuable contributions to European youth work. - Youth Work Link: Youth workers will learn how to integrate marginalised languages and cultures into artistic practice, ensuring young people from underrepresented backgrounds feel seen, valued, and empowered. ___ Develop Youth Workers’ Leadership and Facilitation Skills - Objective: Enable participants to take roles as facilitators, group leaders, and cultural mediators. - Youth Work Link: Reflection sessions, autocours (self-directed group creations), and co-design of performances strengthen participants’ leadership, teamwork, and evaluation skills, which are essential for guiding young people in non-formal education settings. ___ Build a Sustainable Network for Future Collaboration - Objective: Establish a long-term partnership around physical theatre and embodied pedagogy among organisations from France, Turkey, Spain, and Sweden. - Youth Work Link: This network allows youth workers to exchange practices, co-develop curricula, and multiply the project’s results in their local communities, enriching youth work across different contexts. ____
