The AFTERMOVE project aims to support young people from Réunion Island returning from a European mobility experience (volunteering, youth exchange, DiscoverEU) by transforming their journey into a true springboard for their future. Too often, coming back home feels like a moment of rupture, where the skills and experiences gained remain invisible and difficult to showcase. AFTERMOVE addresses this need by creating a collective of young ambassadors, supported over 18 months through non-formal education workshops, seminars, creative productions (podcasts, videos, educational kits), and public events. Its objectives are multiple: to help young people become aware of their skills and strengthen their employability, to create inspiring tools for other young people who are hesitant to go abroad, and to foster a structured dialogue with local stakeholders and decision-makers. By giving youth a visible and recognized voice, AFTERMOVE seeks to change the way Réunionese youth are perceived.
