Objectives

Our project aims to involve young people from Guadeloupe, Réunion, and Polynesia in the collective construction of an enviable and sustainable vision for their islands, using storytelling (a cultural practice) as a tool for reflection, expression, and transmission. The objectives are to strengthen their civic participation, self-confidence, and ability to envision a sustainable future, while developing a sense of European belonging and awareness of the need to face climate challenges together. Raising awareness of ecology and sustainable practices is an integral part of “Ocean of Stories, Sustainable Horizon.” The project also seeks to promote island voices in the public sphere, raise awareness among children and local communities through educational workshops, and create cultural productions (stories, books, podcasts, exhibitions, documentaries) that will carry these messages at the local, national, and European levels.
