"Youth Challenge on the European Heritage Routes" aims to offer young people from rural and island areas an active and participatory experience of discovering the European Cultural Routes. Participants explore villages and regions through a digital application featuring heritage treasure hunts. Each young person embodies a historical character and takes on the values it represents. The project uses non-formal learning activities to raise awareness of fundamental rights, Europe’s shared values, and active citizenship. Meetings with local and European decision-makers strengthen civic engagement, while the co-creation of routes and riddles fosters the development of digital skills, creativity, and autonomy.
