The Prevention: focus on health - women project idea is coming from the Hungarian NGO as they have found out that there is a huge need in health and preventive education among the local youngsters of Nyíregyháza. There was qualitative research made by interviews with the youngsters and then quantitative measures using national data that proved that young people lack knowledge about reproductive and sexual health. They do not have enough information about preventive health education and access to healthcare. The goal of this project is to create a safe place where young people from different countries can learn, share experiences and raise awareness on health issues, with a special focus on women’s health, but not only involving women to encourage transparency and mutual understanding. The objectives of the project are: - To raise awareness about women’s health and its connection to overall well-being - To provide practical tools for stress-management, lifestyle balance and self-care - To understand the importance of regular check-ins - Break taboos and stereotypes by providing an open discussion between genders - Reduce the gap in health education - To equip participants with awareness-raising tools - To strengthen connections between organisations from different parts of Europe After the project, participants will be able to bring the knowledge that they gained during the project to their local communities. It will be crucial to raise awareness and spread information about health, especially for the ones living in rural areas. The project will also have a long-term impact on the youngsters health habits and lifestyle. We will also pay attention to follow Erasmus+ objectives as the project will build on inclusion and targeting the development of participants' digital competences.
