Objectives

The main objective of the project is to raise young people’s awareness and responsibility regarding sustainability, the use of renewable energy sources, and everyday recycling practices. We want participants not only to acquire theoretical knowledge but also to experience in practice how these concepts can be applied – for example, through creative workshops, on-site demonstrations, and joint project tasks. This experiential learning is essential, as it influences young people’s long-term habits and their role in their communities. From the perspective of youth work, one of our core goals is to strengthen young people’s initiative and self-confidence. Throughout the programme, participants will be placed in situations where they can implement their own ideas, work in small groups, debate, and make collective decisions. This will enhance their social and civic competences, increase their sense of belonging, and teach them to take responsibility not only for themselves but also for their wider communities. Another key objective is to promote social inclusion and equal opportunities. The project will involve young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, for whom it is particularly important to access the same learning and development opportunities as their peers. In this way, we contribute to reducing social inequalities and ensure that every participant can experience that they are capable of creating value, contributing to teamwork, and achieving success. The project also focuses on developing digital competences. Participants will be introduced to digital tools (for example, applications that encourage sustainable lifestyle habits or event apps supporting coordination) which will not only be useful during the exchange but can also be applied in their everyday lives or in future youth activities. In summary, the project aims to foster the professional, personal, and social development of young people. They will learn how to take care of the environment responsibly, how to work effectively in teams, take initiative, make collective decisions, and how to consciously develop their competences through non-formal learning methods. This way, the project does not only provide a memorable experience but also equips them with long-term skills and attitudes that will benefit their studies, future employment, and community engagement.
