The aim of the Together with Music project is to use the universal language of music to strengthen young people’s community participation, intercultural sensitivity and sense of initiative. As young organisers, we want participants to experience that music can create community, bridge cultural and social differences, and provide self-confidence for active social engagement. Our main project objectives are: – To spark each other’s interest and motivation for active participation in our communities, particularly through music-based activities. – To make music a tool in young people’s lives for connecting with each other and overcoming cultural differences. – To provide experiences and inspiration that enable participants to launch their own music-based community-building initiatives in their local environments. – To create a safe and supportive international environment where young people with fewer opportunities can develop their creativity, communication skills and ability to work in teams. – To foster international friendships and future cooperation, while strengthening the acceptance and respect of cultural diversity. The long-term aim of the project is to empower young people to continue organising community and community-building activities independently after the programme, thereby contributing to the development of more inclusive and cooperative local societies.
