Objectives

The project aims to provide a meaningful learning experience for young people in an international environment, where they reflect together on the role of water in our shared future, while developing their environmental awareness, cooperation skills, and sense of community responsibility. From a youth work perspective, one of the greatest strengths of the project is that young people are not only participants, but also co-creators — they have been involved from the very beginning of the planning process and will continue to play an active role in the implementation and follow-up. The main objectives of the project are: – To enable participants to better understand why water is a key issue for our future — both globally and within our region. – To create space for young people from different countries to learn, reflect and create together. – To show that environmental protection doesn't require expert knowledge — openness, community and a few good ideas can go a long way. – To provide real support for young people with fewer opportunities and to ensure they feel that their voices matter. – And of course, to offer an experience that everyone will remember — not just because of the programme itself, but because of what it sets in motion inside them. Through the programme, young people from different countries will explore what responsibility we all share in protecting natural resources like water — and that taking action doesn’t have to mean working at a political level. Everyday choices, habits and community involvement all count. Participants will be encouraged to see that their knowledge, opinions and initiatives can make a real difference in their environment. In this way, the project promotes not only environmental awareness, but also active citizenship — locally and internationally. The entire programme is built on non-formal education methods, with an emphasis on playful, group-based, experiential learning. Our aim is to ensure the project has a lasting impact on the participants and strengthens their belief that they are capable of making a difference — together, authentically, and with enthusiasm.
