Objectives

strengthen their active participation in society and support them in becoming responsible, conscious and initiative-taking citizens. The focus of the programme – the creative use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the promotion of mental well-being, and the exploration of cultural traditions – simultaneously responds to the current needs of young people and the future challenges of youth work. At the level of participants, the project seeks to ensure that young people aged 18–25 experience non-formal learning first-hand and develop competences that are directly useful for their future. Particular emphasis is placed on digital competence, especially on the conscious, creative and ethical use of AI tools. Throughout the programme, participants learn how to apply AI in content creation, visual and textual production, project planning or problem-solving. The aim is that young people become capable of recognising the potential of AI while also developing a critical understanding of its limitations and ethical implications. As a result, participants will acquire key competences such as digital creativity, critical thinking, media literacy and technological responsibility. These skills are valuable not only for future employability but also for their everyday lives, helping them to become more conscious and engaged citizens. At the same time, the project promotes self-awareness, emotional balance and intercultural collaboration – all essential in a digital era where cooperation, joint creation and acceptance of diverse perspectives are indispensable. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project aims to introduce innovative tools and methods that bring essential future-oriented competences closer to young people. The integration of Artificial Intelligence into non-formal learning is an innovative and forward-looking approach: rather than treating technology merely as a tool, the project teaches young people how to harness it for their own creativity and community engagement. At the same time, the exploration of mental well-being and cultural heritage ensures that learning is not limited to technical aspects, but also has strong emotional and social dimensions. In this way, the project creates a complex learning environment that fosters digital, social and personal competences simultaneously. At the level of the partnership, the project aims to enable the organisations involved to integrate new methodologies into their youth work and to strengthen their capacity for digital transition. Together, the partners develop AI-based workshop models and learning modules which can be used in future initiatives. The ultimate goal is for the partnership to continue embedding innovative digital and non-formal tools into youth activities after the project ends, thus contributing to the professional development of youth work as a whole. At a wider community level, the project seeks to empower young participants to act as multipliers of knowledge and inspiration. The AI-based minibook, as the main product of the project, will be freely accessible online and serve as a resource for other young people, educators and youth workers. Through social media content, local workshops and multiplier events, the results will be shared with a much broader audience. The message of the project will therefore not remain limited to direct participants but will also inspire and influence other communities. In summary, the project aims to strengthen the digital, creative and intercultural competences of young people while giving them the experience of collaborative creation and non-formal learning. By acquiring skills in the use of Artificial Intelligence, they will be better prepared for the challenges of the digital future, while the focus on mental well-being and cultural traditions ensures that their development also has a strong personal and community dimension. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project represents an innovative approach: it opens a new field that builds a bridge between young people’s digital realities and value-based, community-oriented learning processes.
