Objectives

The primary aim of the project is to equip young people with the knowledge, skills and experiences that will help them navigate the world of work and empower them to become more confident, conscious and active members of their communities. We do not want to provide only a short-term, enjoyable experience, but rather a meaningful process with long-lasting impact on their everyday lives. One of the key objectives is to develop young people’s employability skills. Experience shows that many young people – especially those aged 18–25 – struggle to find their place in the labour market, often lacking confidence in writing a CV or motivation letter, or in handling job interviews. Through the programme they will acquire practical, directly applicable skills such as creating a modern CV and motivation letter, preparing for interviews through simulations, self-management and time management, and developing basic entrepreneurial competences. These tools will improve their chances on the labour market and help them make more conscious decisions about their future. Another crucial aim is to strengthen their self-confidence and personal competences. Many young people, although talented and knowledgeable, often lack the courage to represent themselves effectively. By using non-formal learning methods – role plays, simulation exercises, interactive workshops – participants will have the chance to try themselves out in a safe environment, to make mistakes, learn from them and try again. This process significantly contributes to their personal growth, empowering them with independence and initiative. The project also seeks to enhance young people’s sense of community and social responsibility. A core value of youth work is not only to support individual development, but also to empower young people in their community role. Participants will gain insights into how NGOs and community initiatives operate, and they will have the chance to design and reflect on their own ideas in a community context. This helps them grow into active citizens who take responsibility for their environment and contribute to the cohesion and development of their communities. A tangible outcome of the project will be the creation of the Youth Guide to the World of Work, a joint product where participants summarise their experiences, advice and reflections. This guide not only allows them to consolidate what they have learned, but also serves as a concrete tool that can be shared with other young people. Producing the guide is not only about knowledge management, but also a team-building process through which participants experience how much value they can create together. Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities is also a fundamental objective. Both partner organisations are committed to ensuring that their programmes are inclusive and accessible, reaching out to young people who, due to economic or social circumstances, have fewer chances to participate in such initiatives. Their involvement is important not only for their own development, but also for the group as a whole: it enriches group dynamics, increases empathy and inclusivity, and strengthens social cohesion. From the perspective of youth work practice, the objectives of this project are highly relevant. On the one hand, they develop the key competences highlighted in the Erasmus+ programme: communication, teamwork, creativity, digital competences, entrepreneurial spirit. On the other hand, they foster social inclusion, empowerment and active citizenship. Finally, they provide opportunities for intercultural learning, enabling young people to gain international experience, to value diversity and to grow as European citizens. The overall aim of the project is therefore not only short-term development but long-term empowerment and mindset change. We want to offer young people an experience and knowledge base that helps them find their place in the world of work, in their communities and in society as a whole. True success will be when participants return home feeling more confident, more conscious and braver – when they know they have the power to change their own lives and make an impact on their environment. If years later they still remember the encouragement and inspiration they received here, the project will truly have achieved long-term impact and created lasting value.
