Objectives

Soul Shaping – Pottery as a tool to support young people’s mental health aims to strengthen the professional competences of youth workers by introducing pottery as a creative, therapeutic, and mental health–supporting method. The project includes two international training courses and preparatory visits with participants from Hungary and Romania. Through non-formal learning, youth workers will experience how clay work can reduce anxiety, foster mindfulness, and build community, while also developing practical tools to integrate these methods into their everyday work with young people. The project objectives are: 1. To develop the professional competences of youth workers in using pottery as a therapeutic and mental health–supporting tool. 2. To exchange good practices and strengthen international cooperation between the partners. 3. To create a practice-based methodological toolkit that supports young people struggling with anxiety and mental health issues. 4. To build a long-term partnership between the two organisations, laying the foundation for further joint projects. The project outcomes – including a multilingual methodological handbook, community multiplier events, and local follow-up workshops – will ensure that its impact goes beyond the training courses and contributes sustainably to the quality and innovation of youth work.
