Objectives

The aim of the project is to help youth professionals in effectively engaging and reaching young people, primarily through social media channels. To achieve this, we will host a 6-day training for NGO leaders and media professionals from non-profit organizations in Keszthely. Here, in addition to general media skills, participants will explore key social media tools, content creation methods, and brand building. The training will also address topical issues posing challenges to the lives of both young people and professionals (e.g., cyberbullying, the use of artificial intelligence, and the role of smartphones in schools). During the course, we will analyze the work of the participating civil organizations and specialists, reviewing their current operations and identifying good practices through peer learning. We will also incorporate external expertise from invited trainers, utilizing non-formal education methods throughout. A key goal is for participants to gain a deeper understanding of their own target group's needs and habits, enabling them to reach them more specifically. This understanding is also essential for promoting safe internet usage, which is another crucial topic. We will show youth workers what to watch out for when surfing the web, what to teach young people, how to recognize if someone is in trouble online, and how to provide assistance. Participants will achieve development in numerous areas and will be able to contribute significantly to the success of their own organizations, increase their social reach, and thereby improve the quality of the youth sector and youth work. The skills learned will enable them to develop a more effective media presence and reach a wider audience, supporting them in their daily work.
