Objectives

The aim of the project is to promote the active participation and civic engagement of young people, especially those belonging to national minorities who face cultural barriers. The initiative arose from the observation that many young people do not participate in community or social activities because they are unaware of the opportunities available or because the existing opportunities are not adequately tailored to their needs. Most youth organizations traditionally offer conference-type events, which are not attractive or accessible to all young people. This particularly affects participants with fewer opportunities, who are thus excluded from active participation. The project aims to provide youth workers with new tools, skills, and approaches to engage young people, with a particular focus on those who, due to cultural or social barriers, do not find an appropriate way to participate. The partnership has developed a dual educational program that combines training and study trips. This provides an opportunity for youth workers to learn about different forms of youth participation, exchange good practices with international professionals, and establish contacts with local civil society organizations. The four main objectives of the project are: 1. Strengthening the capacity of youth organizations to effectively promote youth participation in various forms. 2. Supporting a glocal approach that combines local and global perspectives and promotes international cooperation among youth professionals. 3. To provide youth workers with strategies and tools to help young people from national minorities take an active role in their communities and societies. 4. Strengthening the exchange of knowledge and experience among youth workers so that they can learn effective methods from each other for involving young people from different backgrounds. In terms of youth work practice, the project contributes to making professionals more open to alternative forms of participation and able to adapt to the real needs of young people. The combination of training and study visits offers practical and theoretical knowledge that can be directly integrated into the daily work of organizations. International exchange of experience strengthens networking, encourages long-term cooperation, and creates a supportive ecosystem for youth participation. Through the implementation of the project, the partners aim to promote more inclusive, diverse, and sustainable youth work, in which all young people can find a form of participation that suits them and contribute to the development of their community.
