The overall aim of our project is to empower disadvantaged young people in Youthreach to see themselves as active citizens with a voice and a stake in society. By experiencing democracy in action, at a local, national and at a European level, our participants will develop the confidence, skills, and knowledge to engage meaningfully in civic life. Build a sense of belonging and citizenship among disadvantaged young people. Strengthen understanding of democracy at local, national, and European levels. Develop decision-making skills through planning, budgeting, and student council involvement. Promote resilience against disinformation, populism, and radicalisation through critical thinking and dialogue. Support personal growth, confidence, and intercultural awareness through international mobility. Foster a lasting culture of youth participation within Youthreach, including a revitalised student council. Share results with the wider Youthreach community, families, and everyone we can.
