The idea for this project was born during the youth exchange Unleash culturE, where participants from Italy, Poland, and Romania explored cultural identity through art. They experienced how non-formal, artistic methods powerfully develop soft skills like empathy, communication, and collaboration. Inspired to continue this in a more diverse setting, they involved peers from Bulgaria and Turkey to broaden perspectives and deepen the impact. In today’s fast-changing society, transversal competences have become essential. Emotional intelligence, leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and digital literacy are key not only for employability but also for civic engagement, well-being, and resilience. These skills shape how young people connect, navigate uncertainty, and contribute to their communities. According to LinkedIn and Deloitte, over 60% of future jobs will rely primarily on these competences. Yet they are rarely developed through formal education. Instead, they emerge from experience, interaction, and reflection, principles central to non-formal learning and embedded in European frameworks such as the Key Competences for Lifelong Learning and the EU Youth Goals, particularly those on inclusion, quality learning, and youth participation. To better understand local contexts, young people co-designed a self-assessment survey that reached over 700 peers across the five countries. The results highlighted common needs and confirmed that youth with fewer opportunities often lack access to meaningful learning environments. Across all communities, participants expressed the need for inclusive, creative spaces to grow and be recognised. This project answers that call. Through artistic methods, such as theatre, photography, poetry, music, and movement, participants will explore identity, develop key soft skills, and engage in intercultural dialogue. Art creates inclusive access to learning, allowing everyone to express themselves regardless of background. The experience will be structured, reflective, and recognised through Youthpass, strengthening participants’ confidence and visibility of their competences. By sharing results through school events, creative campaigns, and peer-to-peer outreach, the project will promote Erasmus+ and soft skills as tools for empowerment, inclusion, and participation. Project objectives: -To create a multicultural environment where 25 participants and 5 youth leaders from Italy, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey empower soft skills through artistic, non-formal methods, with recognition via Youthpass -To raise awareness of transversal competences as key for personal growth, well-being, and civic engagement -To promote inclusion by involving 15 young people with fewer opportunities and supporting access to quality learning -To encourage participation in Erasmus+ and non-formal programmes as valid paths of discovery, development, and community involvement
