Objectives

Stick to Gather addresses the urgent need to empower young people through creativity, civic engagement and inclusion, responding to both European-level challenges and local realities. Across Europe, young people face rising social disconnection, well-being crises and limited access to meaningful cultural participation, especially in marginalized urban areas. Urban art and creative expression have the potential to transform public spaces, strengthen social bonds and promote local identity, yet this potential remains underused. In the eastern neighborhoods of Naples, where Cartel APS is based, socio-economic inequalities, high youth unemployment and urban decay create barriers for young people to engage, express themselves and take part in shaping their communities. The project “sticks” together 32 young people from 4 EU countries in a 9-day youth exchange, using non-formal education and artistic methods to foster inclusion, cultural dialogue, environmental awareness and civic participation. The project is rooted in the belief that by connecting young people with artists, local spaces and each other, we can foster urban regeneration, strengthen intercultural understanding and develop the competences young people need to thrive as active European citizens. Objectives: -Promote urban creativity as a tool for civic engagement, guiding participants through street art practices that reclaim public space, strengthen community ties and encourage care for the environment; -Foster community building and mutual understanding by bringing together 32 young people and youth leaders from four EU countries over a 9-day youth exchange, complemented by preparatory and follow-up activities, using non-formal methods to promote inclusive democratic participation, European values and citizenship; -Empower marginalized youth through digital and creative tools that boost confidence, visibility and recognition of lifelong learning; -Encourage youth participation and peer learning through street campaigns, intercultural dialogue and a final public event that amplifies their voices and showcases collective co-creations
