Implementing an Erasmus+ project focused on sports, art, and strengthening relationships with young people with disabilities and disadvantages has clear objectives deeply rooted in the values of inclusion, active participation, personal development, and social cohesion. MOVEART was born from the desire to address the challenges of social exclusion and the lack of opportunities that many young people with disabilities and fewer opportunities experience daily. We want to create a safe, inclusive, and creative space where young people can feel valued, break down social and cultural barriers, and develop skills useful for their personal growth and future. MOVEART combines art, sports, and intercultural dialogue to inspire a new vision of social inclusion, strengthening a sense of community and promoting active participation. The project's main objectives are: 1. Promote social inclusion - Foster the integration of young people with disabilities or those experiencing social, economic, and cultural disadvantage. - Reduce discrimination, stereotypes, and isolation. - Create welcoming and accessible environments where every young person feels valued. 2. Develop personal and interpersonal skills - Strengthen skills such as self-esteem, communication, cooperation, and emotion management. - Foster awareness of one's abilities and talents, including through forms of expression such as sports and art. 3. Encourage active participation and youth leadership - Involve young people in co-planning and implementing activities. - Make them feel like agents of change, not just beneficiaries. - Foster a sense of belonging to an inclusive and supportive community. 4. Use sports and art as educational and inclusive tools - Sport and art become universal languages to facilitate encounters, expression, and collaboration. - Both fields offer concrete opportunities to overcome physical, cultural, or social barriers. 5. Promote intercultural exchange and peer learning - Create opportunities for young people from different countries, backgrounds, and experiences to meet. - Promote dialogue, empathy, and respect for diversity through shared experiences. 6. Generate a positive impact at the local and European level - Strengthen networks between schools, associations, local authorities, and communities. - Disseminate good practices that can be replicated or adapted in other contexts. - Contribute to EU objectives regarding inclusion, active citizenship, and the development of youth potential. Implementing an Erasmus+ project with these themes means creating concrete spaces and opportunities for the inclusion, expression, and growth of the most vulnerable young people, contributing to a more equal, participatory, and supportive society. Youth work is at the heart of the project. Youth workers are the facilitators of the entire process, playing a key role in: - Planning and leading inclusive activities (sports, arts, and interpersonal skills). - Mediating between participants and their contexts. - Training and supporting the young people involved, enhancing their individual potential. - Building safe, stimulating, and non-formal educational environments. - Dissemination of results, thanks to direct contact with local communities and youth networks. The project offers them concrete opportunities for training, the exchange of best practices, and European mobility, strengthening their professional role and the social impact of their work. By enhancing creativity, movement, and relationships, bridges are built between diversity and new avenues for individual and collective growth. The project will offer participants the opportunity to acquire transversal skills such as teamwork, intercultural communication, and time management. Through the Youthpass, the skills acquired will be certified, enhancing the experiences for educational and professional purposes. The international dimension of the project will broaden the participants' European vision, preparing them to work in multicultural contexts. Through reflection and documentation of their experiences, participants will be able to leverage the skills acquired in educational and professional contexts. A central aspect of the project is strengthening relationships between participants, fostering meaningful and lasting connections. Group activities, such as creating collective artworks or participating in team games, will require young people to actively collaborate, breaking down prejudices and fostering empathy. During creative workshops, participants with disabilities will work side by side with their peers, creating an environment of mutual respect and support. Through the exchange of traditions, cultures, and personal stories, young people will build connections with peers from different countries.
