The "Humans Understanding Machines: Artificial Intelligence & emotioN – HUM.AI.N" youth exchange is an Erasmus+ project that invites young Europeans between the ages of 18 and 25 y.o. to critically reflect on the daily use of emerging technologies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, and the impact they can have not only on information and perceived reality, but also on emotions and relationships. This isn't about questioning young people's clarity in navigating the digital world, but rather exploring an often overlooked aspect: the emotional and social consequences of the distortions created by algorithms, misinformation, and the automation of relationships. Without demonizing technology, the project promotes the conscious and responsible use of these powerful tools, fostering a balance between digital skills, emotional intelligence, and collective ethics. The specific objectives of the project are: - To foster the development of critical and ethical thinking regarding the use of intelligent technologies, guiding young people to reflect on issues such as algorithmic bias, privacy, automation, and the emotional influence of AI (e.g., chatbots, deepfakes, etc.). - To stimulate personal and collective reflection on identity, emotions, and relationships in the digital age through dialogue and experiential activities, exploring how interaction with intelligent technologies influences self-perception, empathy, and social bonds. - To promote critical understanding of the use of artificial intelligence and the spread of fake news, guiding participants in analyzing the social, emotional, relational, and cultural changes generated by the growing use of AI. - To foster the importance of emotional intelligence and collective responsibility by promoting responsible digital citizenship. - To strengthen critical digital literacy and the ability to make informed decisions in complex contexts. - Stimulate intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding between young people from different European countries, using the comparison of different cultural perspectives to enrich understanding of the topic and build a shared European vision.
