Objectives

Through this project we want to create a meaningful learning experience where young people not only reflect on diversity and inclusion, but also actively practice these values in a safe and creative environment. Our motivation comes from the challenges we and our partners see daily in our communities: discrimination based on background, social status, sexual orientation, disability, or appearance. Many young people feel excluded or unheard, and youth workers often lack practical tools to address these issues effectively. By choosing theater as our main working method — a decision inspired by ideas collected directly from young people during our needs analysis — we aim to give participants a platform where they can express themselves freely, explore sensitive topics safely, and learn to transform personal stories into collective messages. Theater offers a non-formal learning space where creativity and emotions blend with reflection and dialogue, making it easier for participants to confront stereotypes, practice empathy, and experiment with new ways of engaging others. Our objectives from a youth work perspective are both educational and developmental: 1. To empower participants, especially those with fewer opportunities, by boosting their confidence, motivation, and capacity to take an active role in their communities. 2. To promote intercultural learning, tolerance, and respect among young people from different backgrounds, giving them the skills to navigate diversity in constructive ways. 3. To strengthen key competences such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and leadership, which are essential for active participation in society. 4. To support youth workers and group leaders in using theater and non-formal methods as powerful tools for inclusion and social change. 5. To build a European network of organizations that share values of solidarity and inclusion, and that can continue to collaborate in future projects. Ultimately, what we want to achieve is to transform young participants into multipliers of inclusion and diversity. They will not only gain new skills and perspectives for themselves but also act as ambassadors in their own communities — through performances, workshops, and everyday interactions. In this way, the project responds directly to the needs of young people while also reinforcing the broader objectives of Erasmus+ youth work: fostering active citizenship, promoting social cohesion, and reducing inequalities across Europe.
