TEA – Time for Emotional Awareness The main aim of TEA is to replace harmful habits with mindful tea gatherings, creative expression, and reflection, empowering young people to improve their emotional well-being and build stronger communities. It focuses on enhancing emotional literacy, promoting healthy social habits, and fostering active community engagement. From a youth work perspective, the project seeks to: - Raise awareness of mental health and emotional well-being - Provide safe, alcohol-free spaces for young people to reflect, share, and discuss emotions openly. - Address contemporary challenges such as stress, anxiety, burnout, and social isolation. - Promote healthy social habits and mindfulness - Introduce tea gatherings, art, and mindfulness practices as constructive alternatives to harmful coping mechanisms. - Encourage reflection, presence, and emotional regulation in a supportive environment. - Strengthen emotional intelligence and resilience - Equip participants with tools to recognize, understand, and express emotions in constructive ways. - Foster personal growth, self-awareness, empathy, and social competence. - Enhance community building and social inclusion - Promote cooperation, teamwork, and leadership skills through group activities and collaborative projects. - Encourage participants to take an active role in shaping their local and intercultural communities. - Support youth with fewer opportunities - Ensure inclusive participation by prioritizing newcomers to Erasmus+, socially disadvantaged youth, and participants from diverse backgrounds. - Offer guidance and mentoring to enable meaningful engagement and contribution. - Encourage intercultural learning and active citizenship - Foster dialogue and collaboration among participants from Portugal, Italy, Romania, and Ukraine. - Build solidarity, respect for diversity, and understanding of different cultural perspectives. - Develop digital literacy for reflection and connection - Use online tools such as a Notion page, reflection cards, and a podcast series to support ongoing learning and self-expression. - Create long-term impact in participants’ lives - Equip young people with sustainable habits, emotional literacy, and resilience skills applicable in daily life. - Strengthen their ability to contribute to inclusive, supportive, and connected communities. Through these objectives, TEA demonstrates the transformative potential of youth work by combining emotional awareness, healthy practices, intercultural exchange, and community engagement to address contemporary youth challenges.
