Objectives

“BRIDGE” project seeks to empower young people with and without disabilities, by using the tools of mobility, inclusive and adaptive sport, outdoor education, and intercultural dialogue. We wish to create safe, inclusive, and accessible learning environments where all participants can develop autonomy, challenge themselves, and learn to cooperate beyond stereotypes. The specific objectives of the project: - Foster autonomy and independence among young participants by engaging them in international mobility experiences; - Enhance communication and social skills through intercultural exchange and peer-to-peer learning; - Raise awareness and sensitivity to disability among young people without disabilities, breaking stereotypes and promoting inclusion; - Improve well-being and resilience of all participants through sport and nature-based activities; - Strengthen intercultural dialogue and European identity through shared cultural experiences; - Foster group work and sense of community with diverse backgrounds. Besides the direct learning impacts, the project aims to create lasting change on various levels. Young people will be multipliers of inclusion in schools, sport clubs, and communities, and families and carers will have new knowledge and confidence to enable autonomy. Zanandrea and Sonček will build upon their youth work capacity, exchanging innovative practices and acting as reference points for inclusive mobility. Municipalities, educators, and local associations will be acquainted with accessible sport and outdoor activities, challenging them to replicate inclusive practices. The project will contribute to Erasmus+ Inclusion and Diversity Strategy objectives, promote the European Youth Goals, and demonstrate that truly inclusive youth exchanges are feasible and successful, inspiring other organisations to do the same.
