With “Youth says NO! to Gender Based Violence” we aim to create a safe and stimulating environment where young people, especially those from rural areas and with fewer opportunities, can critically address gender-based violence as a violation of human rights and as an obstacle to social inclusion. From the perspective of educational practice and youth work, our objectives are: Raising awareness among young people about gender-based violence, helping them understand its structural and cultural roots, recognize its different manifestations, and reflect on its impact on individual and community life. Promoting equality and respectful relationships, by developing empathy, active listening, and non-violent communication as essential skills and attitudes. Involving young people with fewer opportunities, ensuring equal access to non-formal learning experiences, intercultural exchanges, and safe spaces for expression that are often lacking in rural areas. Strengthening the role of young people as agents of change, by providing tools for advocacy, communication, and creativity to concretely promote human rights and gender equality in their local contexts. Experimenting with innovative educational methodologies (body- and art-based workshops, philosophical dialogues, critical reading, storytelling, and educational visits) to foster experiential and transformative learning. From the youth work perspective, these objectives translate into the creation of participatory processes in which young people are not passive spectators but co-creators of experiences and solutions, strengthening their personal, social, and civic competences and contributing to the building of inclusive and non-violent communities.
