Objectives

The “HARMONIES” project was born from the awareness that young people today live in a complex social and cultural context, marked by conflicts, tensions, inequalities and, at the same time, by a strong need for tools that foster peaceful coexistence, intercultural dialogue and environmental sustainability. In particular, young people from the territories involved have few opportunities to participate in international experiences that allow them to engage with peers from other countries, reflect on their own competences and feel part of a wider European community. Music, a universal language that goes beyond linguistic and cultural boundaries, was chosen as the guiding thread because it can immediately generate connection, belonging and collaboration. Through musical and artistic activities, participants will be able to express themselves freely, discover other cultures, create shared creative products and collaborate with organizations that convey messages of peace and inclusion. In addition, the project aims to enhance the digital dimension as a youth language, through the multimedia workshop “Rhythms of Peace”, which combines music and digital technologies to produce contents that can be shared at European level. The main objectives of the project are: -promote mutual knowledge and intercultural dialogue among young people from different countries, encouraging the creation of lasting bonds and the development of informal networks of friendship and collaboration -stimulate in participants greater awareness of their role as European citizens, strengthening the sense of belonging to a community based on shared values such as respect, solidarity, gender equality, inclusion and environmental protection -strengthen the active participation of young people, encouraging them to express their ideas, to contribute to the design of activities and to develop a proactive attitude within the group and their communities -increase transversal competences through non-formal learning methods, such as listening skills, intercultural communication, creative collaboration and conflict management -foster personal development through music, understood not only as an artistic practice, but also as an educational tool capable of stimulating self-expression, self-esteem and the ability to relate to others -integrate environmental sustainability practices into all stages of the project, raising participants’ awareness of eco-friendly lifestyles and making them responsible for promoting good practices in daily life -raise awareness on major social issues (peace, inclusion, gender equality, human rights), encouraging in participants a critical and responsible approach towards the challenges of contemporary society -build lasting networks of collaboration between youth and cultural organizations in the partner countries, creating the basis for future joint projects and stable cooperation at European level -contribute to the development of the Key Competences for Lifelong Learning, in particular social and civic competences, digital competence and a sense of initiative and entrepreneurship From the perspective of youth work, the project represents a valuable opportunity to experience paths of personal and collective growth based on non-formal education, active participation and peer learning. In particular, young people will have the opportunity to acquire: -Knowledge: elements of intercultural education, notions on European and non-European musical cultures, principles of environmental sustainability and active citizenship -Skills: working in groups in multicultural contexts, managing collaborative dynamics, communicating effectively also in a foreign language, using music and art as tools for dialogue and inclusion -Attitudes: open-mindedness and curiosity towards different cultures, respect for diversity, a sense of individual and collective responsibility, an attitude to cooperation and social commitment The expected impact does not end with the duration of the mobility, but aims to generate lasting effects: participants will bring home new competences and awareness, becoming multipliers of experiences in their local communities, able to pass on to their peers what they have learned. Dissemination will be ensured through concrete tools (concerts, multimedia materials, methodological kits) and through sharing on Erasmus+ channels such as the Erasmus Results Platform and SALTO Youth. In this sense, the project not only responds to concrete needs of the territory (inclusion, lack of cultural and international opportunities for young people), but also strengthens the educational mission of the Erasmus+ programme as a lever for building a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable society.
